This is fast becoming a growth sector for Livingston Parish. Presently four major medical systems near Livingston Parish have a number of medical offices and clinics within the Parish.
North Oaks Health Systems is completing its Livingston Parish Medical Complex, a two-story, 47,000 sf outpatient facility on 30 acres that is over a $32 million investment. It will provide a diagnostic and treatment service, cardiology, laboratory, radiology and rehabilitation services. It will include an Urgent Care Center, a Family Medicine Clinic, a Specialty Clinic as well as a conference room for health education.
Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, a “Top 100” hospital in Louisiana, has recently purchased over 200 acres in Livingston Parish in recognition of the growing population that Livingston Parish has, and is projected to experience as one of the fastest growing parishes in the state.
Southeastern Louisiana University has established several healthcare related curriculums that are being taught in Livingston to respond to the growth of the healthcare industry in the parish.
Louisiana offers an aggressive business incentive program that can be utilized by health care companies.
The Enterprise Zone Program: Provides a $2,500 tax credit for each certified net new job created; and either a 4% sales/use tax rebate on capital expenditures or income and franchise tax credits up to 1.5% of investment.
