Livingston Parish has a solid and expanding transportation infrastructure whether roadways, air or rail.

Many available sites suitable for transportation oriented industries have easy access to the Interstate and highway system that is present within and near Livingston Parish. Interstate 12 is the prime east-west route in Louisiana. This Interstate is being widened from the west end of the parish towards the east.

In addition, nearby I-10 and I-55 provide ready access to New Orleans to the southeast and Baton Rouge to the immediate west. Both of these destinations offer both air and port facilities. Also within relative access are Interstates 59 and 49. US Route 190 provides an alternative east-west route that is parallel to Interstates 10 & 12 and services the Livingston Industrial Park in Walker.

The Port of Baton Rouge is 20 miles from Livingston Parish and the Port of New Orleans is just 90 miles away.

The Baton Rouge Regional Airport and the Louis Armstrong International Airport on New Orleans are 15 and 80 miles away respectfully and provide both passenger and freight services. Canadian National Rail has a mainline that serves the Livingston Industrial Park and transverses Livingston Parish.

Louisiana offers an aggressive business incentive program that can be utilized by transportation oriented companies.

The Enterprise Zone Program: Provides a $2,500 tax credit for each certified net new job created; and either a 4% sales/use tax rebate on capital expenditures or income and franchise tax credits up to 1.5% of investment.
