Livingston Parish is within 75 miles of the 3 deepwater ports on the Mississippi River including the Port of Greater Baton Rouge, Port of New Orleans, and Port of South Louisiana. Livingston Parish is just 15 miles from deepwater at the Port of Greater Baton Rouge. The Port has a 45 foot depth on the Mississippi River accommodating barge and ship traffic. The port handles grain, cement and various other products.
